TREEHOUSES BY ERIC BUSS

Do you have bored kids and a tree? Let me get to work!!!

Hi! My name is Eric Buss. I’ve been a comedian and magician for almost 30 years. Once the pandemic hit, I found myself at home with nothing to do. So, I used the woodworking skills my dad taught me when I was a kid, and I built my son a treehouse! I enjoyed it much more than expected. Then I built someone else a treehouse. Then I built another and another… now, I build treehouses!!!

Let’s face it, we’re all going to be home for a while… and even when the world opens up, a treehouse can provide a fun, creative space for kids (and adults) to play, hangout, read, and think.

I can build something simple or something elaborate. If you don’t have a tree, no problem… I can build a free-standing playhouse or structure. Do you want monkey bars, a slide, swings, zip line, rock wall, etc??? No problem! Do you have crazy ideas of your own? Tell me!

Meet Eric Buss | Builder of Treehouses and Play Structures

Here’s how the process works:

Step 1 – I come to your house and look at your tree (or space) and backyard. We discuss options, schedule, and budget. Step one is free.

Step 2 – We find a date that I can start building. Contract is signed. 50% deposit is made.

Step 3 – Over the course of roughly 5-7 working days you’ll see your custom treehouse take shape. Designs and alterations can be discussed through out the early steps of the building process. I typically build treehouses on stilts as well as attaching minimally to the tree. Stilts help support the weight and relieve the tree of the burden.

Step 4 – I finish building. 50% remaining balance is paid.

Step 5 – You play in your treehouse for years to come.

Step 6 – After a week or two of allowing your kids to play in the treehouse (and allowing the wood to dry out more after building,) I come back and spray the treehouse with Thompson’s Water Seal. This protects it from the elements and adds years to it’s life. Drying time can be up to 48 hours, hence letting the kids have a few weeks to play.

I use wood to build all my treehouses – NOT latex balloons like some clowns.

I look forward to hearing from you!
